What better combination than Mohair Silk for taking natural dyes. The fine Silk and Mohair sometimes take the dye in different ways giving a most beautiful effect. The fine nature of this yarn makes it light and airy and works on its own for a lightweight garment or added as a strand giving a soft halo in a mutli strand project. There is a very limited amount of this yarn as we test different bases with natural dyes.

HOW To LOOK After ME
I am dyed with natural dyes. I have been mordanted with alum to provide better light and colourfastness. I recommend hand washing in a ph neutral wool wash such as Martha Gardeners Woolwash. Natural dye can be ph sensitive so changes in ph can change the colour. Cold to tepid water and minimal agitation is best. Lay me flat in the shade to dry and store out of direct sunlight. Some excess dyestuff may be present in first washes.
