This set has all the colours I used to test knitting the Scrappy Happiness Wrap pattern for Tif Neilan. I adored the wrap which she had turned into a ponco and couldn't wait to get started. The shawl is such a fun knit and using the sock yarn meant there were so many more combinations possible. All the colours work well together, it wont matter how you decide to combine them to make it your own. The pattern is available from Ravelry. We also have the same set in Spin DK and an alternative colour choice available. If you choose the sock yarn please keep in mind you will hold two strands together to achieve a DK weight yarn specified in the pattern, this is how you get the effect you see in my version.
This set comprises 6 x 100g skeins in our lovey soft Sock Yarn base of 85% Superwash Extrafine Merino 15% Nylon, handdyed by one person in our studio. The pattern needs to be purchased seperately from Tif Neilan Handknits (link provided above).
Colours: Vintage Blue, Beachcomber, Gingerbread, Lagoon, Archimedes & Seven Seas.
Fibre: 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon
Please note: the odd skein may contain a knot, they are few and far between, I prefer to let you know in case it is an issue. As we hand dye our yarn in small batches there will be slight variations between them.
HOW To LOOK After ME
I am dyed with colour fast non-toxic acid dyes. I recommend hand washing all hand knits but you can machine wash on a gentle wool cycle with mild detergent. Cold to tepid water and minimal agitation is best. Lay me flat in the shade to dry.
