Why do stripey socks knit faster than non stripey socks? One of the mysteries of the sock knitting world.... This sock set combination will have your needles flying faster than the speed of light with a lovely pair of socks at the end. You may prefer to use your collection of 10 colours in a sweater yoke, as part of a shawl or combine with our other striped socks sets for a unique blanket. If you need a helping hand with making socks check out our blog post which takes you through how me make our basic socks.
This set comprises 9 x 10g skeins of semi solid shades of purple, green and blue and one 20g skein of speckled colour Beachcomber to tie them all together. A combined total of 110g in our lovey soft Sock Yarn base of 85% Superwash Extrafine Merino 15% Nylon, handdyed by one person in our studio.
Skein 1 ~ Dewberry, Violet, Orchid, Seven Seas, Malachite, Minty, Pond, Feather & Vintage Blue.
Mini Skein 2 ~ Beachcomber
Fibre: 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon
Length: approx 400m/100g and 40m/10g mini.
Please note: the odd skein may contain a knot, they are few and far between, I prefer to let you know in case it is an issue. As we hand dye our yarn in small batches there will be slight variations between them.
HOW To LOOK After ME
I am dyed with colour fast non-toxic acid dyes. I recommend hand washing all hand knits but you can machine wash on a gentle wool cycle with mild detergent. Cold to tepid water and minimal agitation is best. Lay me flat in the shade to dry.
