Why do stripey socks knit faster than non stripey socks? One of the mysteries of the sock knitting world.... This sock set combination will have your needles flying faster than the speed of light with a lovely pair of socks at the end of your Subdued Rainbow. You may prefer to use your collection of 20 colours in a sweater yoke or as part of a shawl.
This set comprises 20 x 5g skeins bundled together in two coordinated colour schemes blue/grey/green and netural/pink/purple. A combined total of 100g in our lovey soft Sock Yarn base of 85% Superwash Extrafine Merino 15% Nylon, handdyed by one person in our studio.
One of the sets is slightly underweight at 95g total weight, it still includes all the colours some are just a little lighter so we have reduced the price of this one. You will still have enough for a pair of socks.
Skein 1 ~ Cookie Dough, Wild Mushroom, Truffle, Bean, Ochre, Nectar, Peony, Antique Rose, Juniper & Damson.
Skein 2 ~ Vintage Blue, Sapphire, Seven Seas, Mineral, Pond, Aurora Australis, Paperbark, Lemon Myrtle, Sprout & Peacemaker.
Fibre: 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon
Length: approx 400m/100g and 20m/5g mini.
Please note: the odd skein may contain a knot, they are few and far between, I prefer to let you know in case it is an issue. As we hand dye our yarn in small batches there will be slight variations between them.
HOW To LOOK After ME
I am dyed with colour fast non-toxic acid dyes. I recommend hand washing all hand knits but you can machine wash on a gentle wool cycle with mild detergent. Cold to tepid water and minimal agitation is best. Lay me flat in the shade to dry.
